The World’s First Arabic Supported AI Tvs by LG Electronics

As part of its vision to deliver an outstanding viewer experience, LG Electronics (LG) has introduced the first Arabic voice service support in its 2019 AI-enabled televisions.

The 2019 TVs come with LG’s unique ThinQ AI platform which deploys a deep learning algorithm to allow a higher level of AI picture and sound quality. With the new algorithm, LG’s TVs analyze source content and recognize ambient conditions to deliver an optimized content.

The conversational voice recognition feature, which now comes in Arabic, makes it easier than ever to source answers, simply by speaking into the remote control without additional hardware requirements. By understand context, the TVs allow for more complex requests, meaning users won’t have to make a series of repetitive commands to get the desired results.

Natural Language Processing (NLP) helps deliver intelligent voice-activated control in Arabic across LG’s new AI-enabled TVs, which include its OLED TV, NanoCell and Smart TV ranges. Catering to an array of audiences, LG’s new AI TVs will release in Saudi Arabia in June, supporting standard Arabic, in addition to the Saudi and UAE (GCC) dialect. LG also has plans to equip its televisions with the Egyptian Arabic dialect later this year. On top of Arabic NLP, the 2019 TVs also support embedded NLP for English, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Russian.

LG’s ThinQ AI TVs are designed to provide consumers with a multitude of benefits, including TV control and content search. Users can change channels, alter the volume and adjust settings by simply using their voice. Content search functionality also enables users to discover the latest shows on Netflix and trending videos on YouTube. 2 Empowering consumers to live more efficiently, LG has partnered with the Open
Connectivity Foundation (OCF), enabling its new televisions to access and operate a multitude of smart home devices from the comfort of the living room. From air conditioners and washing machines, to robotic vacuum cleaners, speakers and lighting, users can now enjoy LG’s intuitive Home Dashboard that makes it possible to control the devices directly from the TV.

Pirelli Performance Center launched in Jeddah with lounge for female drivers

UNITED Yousef M. Naghi Co. Ltd., the official partner of Pirelli tires in Saudi Arabia, recently launched its first Pirelli Performance Center in Jeddah, KSA. The center is designed to meet customer demands for integrated tire maintenance and oil services and offers a female-only lounge following the historic lifting of the ban on women driving in the Kingdom.

The center is the first of its kind across the GCC with a new Pirelli Performance Center retail concept, recently launched by Pirelli worldwide.

United Yousef M. Naghi Co. Ltd is planning to increase the Pirelli footprint in KSA with the opening of the second Pirelli Performance Centers in Jeddah in the coming weeks and has three centers under construction, two in Riyadh and one in Dammam, which are expected to open in the third quarter of 2018.

EDDY Home & Electronics opens 4 branches in Saudi Arabia
